Job Description
- Design of facilities as per project specification, Contract scope, applicable codes and standards.
- Develop design drawings, documents, calculations, and study reports.
- Prepare and review Structural calculations, analyze reports, and prepare bill of materials and specifications. Technical bid evaluation and recommend technically compliant offers for PO procurement
- Vendor document review and implement vendor data in design package
- Review design deliverables and participate design review meetings with client.
- Prepare and review connection design, fabrication drawings and shop drawings.
- Perform discipline check on the deliverables developed to ensure quality.
- Coordinate with design team to carryout design activities as per project schedule
- Coordinate with client, sub-contractor, other stakeholders of the project to carryout design
- Coordinate with site team, provide technical support and clarification to resolve queries during construction. Technical evaluation of design packages, verify and develop Bill of quantities
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil & Structural Engineering from a recognized University or Equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum 5-8 years experience in Civil & Structural design.
- Conversant with International Design Codes of Practice, including American, British Standards and Saudi Aramco standards.
- Hands on experience in Structural design for skids and industrial facilities using STAADPro and/or equivalent software.
- Experience in handling data from piping design & stress analysis report to develop structural model.
- Ability to develop and review connection design, fabrication and shop drawings .
- Conversant with industry standard software, such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, TEKLA, Cad Worx, Navisworks review, SP3D and others
- Experience in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Technical report writing capabilities.
- Saudi Aramco Projects experience (preferable)
