Job Description
Requirements:
· To check the structural integrity of the steel and aluminum structures, prepare and submit the required structural calculations within the planned time and to the best quality to achieve the target within budget.
· Structural Analysis for Aluminum & steel structures.
· Prepare details & technical support for structural issues.
· Submit the required structural calculations within the program timeframe.
· Prepare the structural calculations within acceptable levels of quality assurance.
· Review the tender projects and provide minimum pricing to facilitate the Commercial Team winning the project.
· Review the prepared calculations by Junior Structural Engineers and review the final shop drawings structurally before submitting.
· Act as a link between the Technical and Commercial Dept. to ensure that the proposed system and requirements are achieved.
· Have the ability and proven experience to decide if there is a need to change the original design concept, to reduce the cost or make the installation process easier, in co-ordination with the Commercial & Technical Dept.
Software:
· Sap - Revit - Tekla - Robot and/or similar.
· Experience in design and detail of Steel structures.
· Experience in Aluminum façade design preferred.
· Experience in steel design of small to medium structures.
Job Requirements
- MUST have an Aluminum experience
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (Essential). • Diploma in Structural Engineering (Advantageous). • Structural engineering experience with 2-3 years in structural design of steel and aluminum structures.
· Perform structural and thermal design and analysis calculations using governing/related codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience.
· Undertake the design, engineering, and documentation, provide specialist input, resolve technical problems, and ensure quality of products and services on projects undertaken by the team.
· Work closely with the Team Leader or technical manager on all technical matters relating to the projects.
· Assist the project teams with all aspects of project implementation, including but not limited to site and factory inspection, quality, audits, reports preparation, etc.
· Works on defined tasks under limited supervision with some autonomy.
· Responsible for checking the quality and accuracy of own work prior to submitting to direct manager.
· Undertake technical coordination with other designers, including architects, and consultants.
· Responsible for meeting agreed deadlines.
· Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare façade engineering design documents.
