Job Description

  • Supervises the day-to-day operations of purchasing department to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes and procedures
  • Manage all aspects of purchasing, providing consistency in carrying out the goals and objectives of the purchasing department; determines need for corrective actions on addressing matters outside normal operating procedures. 
  • Release purchasing requests.
  • Review purchasing specialist daily reports to control daily process, solve problems immediately and evaluate daily staff performance.
  • Coordinate with the Finance department (AP Section) to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices, as necessary for the business with the supplier.
  • Negotiates annual, semi-annual and quarterly contracts for material pricing based on cost objectives, market conditions and cost models. 
  • Build and improve positive relationships with key suppliers to achieve maximum cost savings, optimal performance and quality standards used in purchasing for short and long- term objectives.
  • Manage and maintain vendors’ relationships and assist in building effective partnerships.
  • Review and release quarterly supplier evaluation and supplier audit plan to improve supplier performance.
  • Review purchasing orders, payment terms and delivery conditions to determine the availability of current and future materials and release it.
  • Analyze the stock movement to make sure to maintain the level of inventory in accordance with the agreed stock level.
  • Address defective or unacceptable new goods or service in coordination with users, vendors and others to determine cause of problem and take corrective and preventive actions.
  • Review defective and surplus materials and manage the disposal of it.
  • Prepare analysis reports and send to Top management regarding the movement of purchases and identify deviations, their causes and how to overcome them during future activities.
  • Standards & Regulations Ensure that all activities are monitored and regulatory compliance audits and inspections are conducted for an effective implementation of regulatory standard

 

 

 

Job Requirements

  • Suitable Bachelor’s degree 
  • Any other certificates required
  • From 5 to 8 years in the same job
