Job Description
- Supervises team responsible for quality system, engineering document control, customer returned material, incoming inspection, supplier and customer communication and resolution.
- Actively learns assembly and test processes to develop in depth knowledge of operations.
- Evaluates bills of material, engineering drawings and other documentation, work instructions, and engineering specifications for accuracy and completeness. Submits engineering changes when applicable.
- Evaluates and cultivates team members and their skillsets to meet changing needs.
- Establishes effective business relationships with key external and internal customers and suppliers to generate successful and lasting partnerships.
- Audits supplier quality systems and production processes as required
Using professional concepts and company objectives, works on and resolves complex issues in which analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Drives continuous improvement projects for existing products
Provides leadership for quality team and acts as liaison between engineering /software systems and manufacturing.
- Works closely with engineering on new product introductions: designing for manufacturability, , production validation, and working with suppliers for production setup.
- WORKS DIRECTLY WITH THE DESIGNING SECTION & SUPPLYCHAIN FOR THE SUPPLIERS
- Ensures full compliance with quality procedures.
- Manages budget and human resource needs of the quality department.
- Evaluate the nonconformance status and determine the root causes.
- Establish corrective actions for nonconformance status.
- Provide the latest versions of international standards for the products.
- Responsible for internal and external calibration operations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in electrical or mechanical engineering.
- 4 years’ experience in the quality control field of low-voltage electrical equipment.
- Managing ISO 9001 or other Quality Management Systems requirements in a business operations environment.
- Good experience in the field of manufacturing of electrical equipment.
- Good experience with dealing with testing machines, calibration, and tolerances in testing machines.
- Good knowledge of IEC standards in the field of circuit breakers – contactors, – Panels – Plastic Parts.
- Ability to understand engineering design drawings and documentation and determine and implement assembly and test processes.
- Performing root cause analysis using 8D methodology.
- Initiating corrective actions, preventative actions, and continuous improvement projects.
- Utilizing lean manufacturing tools, including 5 Why’s, Just-in Time, Kanban, - Poke Yoke, Waste Reduction, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and take time calculation.
- Familiar with ERP systems (SAP).
