Job Description

  • Develop and maintain the cost accounting system, documents and records of the organization.
  • Plan, Study, and collect data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor, analyze purchase price variances & monitor material price trends to support price negotiations with vendors.
  • Calculate and monitor standard costs for inventory valuation, project estimating and job costing purposes.
  • Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, and manufacturing methods, to determine effects on cost and analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
  • Investigate inventory adjustments resulting from periodic cycle counts and annual physical inventory and review stock aging for determination of obsolete and/or excess inventory write offs.
  • Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products.
  • Analyze factory overhead cost drivers and develop a methodology for allocating these costs to specific jobs, monitor actual versus absorbed factory overheads on a monthly basis and together with the Financial Manager, determine if the allocation methodology should be adjusted
  • Perform month-end accounting activities such as closeout completed jobs by ensuring all material, labor and outside service costs are recorded, reconciling inventory and related reserve balances to the general ledger, and analyzing variances and cost of goods sold.
  • Create and distribute detailed monthly job cost reports which include actual and estimated costs to-date as well as projections to complete.
  • Work with the Financial Manager and production staff to identify cost savings projects, analyze and forecast the impact on the cost structure if implemented, and assist in the development of the business case-cost-benefit analysis

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree
  • 3 – 5 Years of experience in Cost Accounting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Previous experience using Microsoft 365 is a plus
  • Excellent Command of Arabic & English language skills.
