Job Description

Overview: Our esteemed International School, offering both IGCSE and American curricula, is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced KG Headmistress. This role is ideal for an individual passionate about delivering high-quality early childhood education within an international framework, and who possesses the leadership qualities necessary to inspire young learners from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the kindergarten section, aligning educational practices with both IGCSE and American curricula standards.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive early childhood curriculum that integrates the best aspects of both IGCSE and American educational systems.
  • Cultivate a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that respects cultural diversity and fosters global awareness.
  • Collaborate with a team of international educators to ensure a cohesive and balanced approach to early years education.
  • Engage with an international community of parents, maintaining effective communication and building strong, culturally sensitive relationships.
  • Manage administrative and operational duties pertinent to an international school setting, ensuring adherence to both IGCSE and American accreditation standards.
  • Provide guidance and professional development opportunities to the kindergarten teaching staff, focusing on international pedagogical methods.
  • Advocate for the principles of global citizenship and cultural understanding within the school community.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in a leadership role within an international kindergarten setting, ideally with exposure to both IGCSE and American curricula.

  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with experience in a multicultural educational environment.
  • Fluent English communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with an internationally diverse community.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, International Education, or a related field. Additional qualifications in IGCSE and American education systems preferred.
  • Proven ability to adapt to a multicultural educational setting and to lead with inclusivity and cultural sensitivity.
