Job Description
- Supervises the day-to-day operations of Logistics to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes and procedures.
- Reviews shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, Customer Service requirements and others.
- Records to determine priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.
- Oversee all dispatch processing and handover activities ensuring documentation- proof of delivery, stock dispatch notes, goods received notes, reconciliations with customers and transporters etc.
- Investigate and resolve all incidences of missing, incomplete/damaged stock/equipment/items during dispatch
- Assist the logistics and fleet Manager in the selection of the transporters, freighters, and custom clearing outsourced companies.
- Manage the virtual logistics warehouse stocks from all finished goods products that will be dispatched and replenish according to the new confirmed sales orders ensuring accurate balances during the month.
- Oversee the timely dispatch of stock/item from central warehouse as per defined SOP.
- Implement and monitor efficient car tracking solutions for all internal and inbound logistics.
- Assess his team performance according to Department set KPIs.
- Oversee the freight and custom clearing operations related to the company procured goods.
- Manage smooth operations of any return orders according to approved SOP set for return cycle obtaining all the required approvals.
- Identify training needs for his subordinates.
- Ensure meeting the company cost/ ton freight and transportation cost for inbound and outbound logistics.
- work within supply chain SF -TF & OGSM activities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or relevant education.
- 3-5 years relevant experience in logistics
