Job Description
- Generally responsible for implementations and monitoring of all mechanical related works at technical office and sites.
- Plan and analyze all possible construction methodologies and recommend the best options to the Project Manager for approval prior to execution on site.
- Interpret construction drawings and study the contract documents and applicable standards or specifications prior to execution of any jobs.
- Plan the execution of all mechanical related works and coordinate all technical matters among electrical, arch and civil engineering, construction, procurement, and subcontractors in order to solve any potential problems under MEP Manager supervision.
- Supervise and implement the installation of all mechanical activities (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting and Infra…etc.)
- Make quantity surveys and issue material requests and approve it by the construction and project manager to deliver it to the procurement depart.
- Ensure proper distribution of all updated & approved project documents to all project concerned parties to keep them all updated.
- Cooperate with the quality engineers in the quality inspections according the projects standards.
- Review subcontractor invoices and issue subcontractor payment request.
- Estimate, prepare and assign the resources such as manpower, materials, consumables, tools, etc., required for all mechanical and related works prior to execution.
- Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and follow up with site engineers, supervisors, foremen, and subcontractors.
- Submit site daily reports, inspection requests, estimates and all applicable monitoring reports on regular basis or as required and deliver them to Site Manager.
- Ensure that all the works done are in accordance with the approved construction drawings, contract documents, project specifications, and all applicable standards whether local, national or international standards.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or any relevant major
- 5+ years of experience in MEP projects with reputable companies with excellent knowledge of mechanical works in commercial and residential buildings preferably in mega projects.
- Good knowledge of construction procedures and practices.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic
