### Key Responsibilities

1. **Staff Supervision**: Oversee the nursing staff and ensure that all nursing operations are conducted in compliance with established standards and regulations. This includes scheduling, job assignments, and performance evaluations.

2. **Patient Care**: Ensure high-quality patient care is maintained. Supervise and sometimes directly assist with clinical tasks, such as administering medication or monitoring vital signs.

3. **Training and Development**: Identify training needs and opportunities for the nursing team to enhance their skills and knowledge. Organize or oversee educational sessions, workshops, and in-service training.

4. **Policy Implementation**: Implement healthcare policies and procedures. Ensure staff adherence to best practices and legal regulations, updating practices as needed based on new guidelines.

5. **Communication**: Serve as a key communicator between doctors, patients, families, and nursing staff. Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise.

6. **Quality Control**: Monitor and ensure the quality of nursing care provided, intervening when necessary to make adjustments. Conduct regular reviews and audits of patient files and treatment plans.

7. **Budgeting and Supplies**: Assist with budgeting and the management of supplies. Ensure that the nursing department is adequately stocked with necessary medical supplies and equipment.

8. **Compliance and Safety**: Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff by adhering to infection control and safety guidelines. Oversee the compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
