Job Description
- Ensure accurate and timely recognition and monitoring of all expenditure items related to departmental or project-approved budgets.
- Review purchase orders for accuracy and ensure they have been approved by the appropriate department head or manager
- Coordinate inventory reporting of receipt and consumption activities
- Review journal entries during month-end closing to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with forecasts and budget details as needed
- Analyze costs and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Collect and analyze data, maintaining a detailed record of the results.
- Assist in audits and prepare the general ledger for Fixed Assets.
- Collect cost information and maintain an expense database
- Construct data accumulation systems
- Assist in preparing budgeting reports for the company and individual departments, including monthly, quarterly, and annual cost forecasts.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures to enhance departmental workflow.
- Ensure all inventory and Fixed Assets transactions are recorded accurately in the accounting system.
- Prepare related analysis for detailed line items for departments or projects.
- Respond to inquiries from company-wide managers regarding financial transactions, special reporting requests, and related issues.
- Support the preparation and management of annual external audits, coordinating with auditors as necessary to ensure a smooth process.
- Support overall department goals and objectives.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned by the direct manager.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance
Experience:
- 3-5 Years of progressive experience in the Accounting & Finance field
Essential Qualifications:
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, accounting software, databases, and SAP B1. Strong ability to use advanced features and tools within these platforms to manage and analyze financial data.
- A strong command of English is essential for effective communication and report writing in this role
- Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.
- Proven knowledge of Cost & Inventory control as well as Fixed Assets registry
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Capable of leading and supervising teams effectively.
- Strong Communication and interpersonal skills
Essential Skills
- Hands-on experience in accounting and administration
- Experience working with various financial and accounting programs.
- High technical analysis and reporting skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proven ability to perform well under time constraints and political pressure, ensuring tight deadlines are met
- Extensive knowledge of accounting procedures, coupled with a positive attitude, strong multitasking capabilities, and excellent organizational skills
- Required to work with and maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation and conflict resolution
