Job Description
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of their schools and ensure that they are running efficiently.
- Assists the School Director in overseeing the development and distribution of budgets and manages expenditures as requested.
- Advising and assisting the Head of School in identifying short-, medium- and long-term strategic objectives and priorities, and provide background data as appropriate to support decision making processes.
- Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with key senior internal and external partners.
- Managing all school scheduling, special events, field trips, cafeteria, transportation, maintenance, playgrounds and cleaning.
- Leading and managing any ad-hoc or planned projects which may arise with respect to the strategic and/or operational needs of the school.
- Designing and implementing an organization structure for the school’s professional services staff to ensure the most effective deployment of these staff to cover the complex administrative requirements of the school.
- Ensuring implementation and maintenance of clear operational systems in the areas he/she oversees to allow the academic staff and leadership to focus almost entirely on students and families.
- Monitoring the school’s budget and financial status on a regular basis to ensure that funds are used appropriately.
- Overseeing school security procedures to ensure safety of students and staff.
- Reviewing school policies related to student discipline and behavior management.
- Plans for resources required for the future support of operations and personnel, and facilitates and develops updates on school operations and presents them to the School Director.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required with major in the area of business or related field.
- Fluent English.
- Proven experience as a business / operations manager or relevant role.
- Familiarity with the school as an organization.
- Excellent communication, presentation, team work and time management skills.
- Excellent organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Detail-oriented.
- Ability to multi-task and balance ambiguity in a rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to work productively with frequent interruptions.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Willingness to learn new jobs, technologies and other related duties
- Experience with technology tools, including planning, implementation and enhancement.
- Ability to positively demonstrate compassion, empathy and respect for others.
