Job Description
- Participates in the preparation of the monthly production plan to ensure maximum utilization of the production floor (i.e. labor, equipment.etc). Communicates monthly production targets to subordinates, and monitors its efficient and timely achievement ensuring total compliance to perfect pack quality standards.
- Revises and adjusts production plans according to the quarterly management reviews and communicates changes to the concerned parties.
- Reviews and approves the annual preventive maintenance plan developed by the Maintenance Manager to ensure maximum utilization of equipment and avoid downtime due to both preventative and reactive maintenance. Ensures the effective implementation of the approved plan.
- Participates in resolving any issues that would affect the manufacturing process.
- Reviews the production reports submitted by subordinates, prepares a weekly status report reflecting achievement versus plan, and issues it to the General Manager to take action accordingly.
- Prepares the annual manufacturing budget, submits to the General Manager for approval and monitors monthly expenditures against the approved budget to ensure its compliance.
- Sets and updates guidelines pertaining to printing and material handling to reduce waste.
- Reviews workers’ performance identifies training needs accordingly and monitors the implementation of the on-the-job training to ensure an on-going skills development process and increase team competence as well as individual productivity to achieve maximum utilization of labor.
- Conducts performance appraisals session of his direct report in due time.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Engineering.
- 7-10 years’ experience “Preferred in printing and packing field” .
- Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, 5S and problem-solving techniques.
- Knowledge about SAP or ERP is a plus.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills with service orientation
- Demonstrated strong leadership, team building and inclusion abilities as well as sensitivity to diverse cultures
- Must possess the ability to work independently with minimal coaching.
