SQUARE Engineering Firm is seeking a highly skilled and driven FP&A Senior Section Head to lead strategic financial planning, optimize business performance, and drive financial insights that influence key organizational decisions.
What You’ll Do
As the FP&A Senior Section Head, you will:
Lead Financial Strategy: Direct the preparation, consolidation, and review of company-wide budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and long-term goals.
Financial Performance Monitoring: Analyze business performance against budgets and KPIs, identify variances, and present actionable recommendations to executive leadership.
Forecasting & Scenario Planning: Deliver accurate short- and long-term financial forecasts, including scenario and sensitivity analysis to support strategic planning.
Advanced Reporting: Develop and present high-impact financial reports, dashboards, and insights for C-suite and board-level stakeholders.
Drive Financial Innovation: Design and implement advanced financial models to enhance forecasting, pricing, and cost optimization across business units.
Interdepartmental Collaboration: Partner with project management, procurement, operations, and HR to integrate financial insights into business operations and investment decisions.
Manage Financial Controls: Oversee COGS, SG&A, and working capital. Establish and refine financial control mechanisms and KPIs to improve transparency and accountability.
Team Development: Manage and mentor a high-performing team of financial analysts, promoting continuous improvement, skill development, and financial acumen.
Job Requirements
What We’re Looking For
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or a master’s degree is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 8–10 years in financial planning & analysis, with at least 3 years in a leadership role in a project-based environment.
Certifications: CFA and FMVA certifications are mandatory.
Technical Skills: Strong command of Excel, Power BI, and ERP/financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Advanced financial modeling skills required.
Strategic Acumen: Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data, interpret trends, and develop strategies that drive profitability and operational efficiency.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior staff.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience delivering presentations to senior leadership.
Resilience & Adaptability: Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and under tight deadlines.
