As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Specialist to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of raw materials, packaging, and other goods necessary for production and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with reliable suppliers for raw materials, packaging, and equipment to meet quality and cost standards.
- Execute purchase orders, ensuring all procurement activities align with company policies and operational needs.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, cost fluctuations, and alternative suppliers to optimize purchasing strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable delivery and long-term partnerships.
- Work closely with the production and warehouse teams to ensure adequate stock levels of key materials without overstocking.
- Monitor procurement budgets and work to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all purchased goods meet the company’s quality standards and specifications. - Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier agreements for audit and reporting purposes.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with local regulations, company policies, and ethical standards.
- Address any issues related to delays, non-compliance, or quality concerns with suppliers and resolve them promptly.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of proven experience in procurement, preferably within the FMCG or food production industry.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain and procurement processes, with experience in sourcing raw materials and packaging.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Familiarity with food safety and quality standards (e.g., ISO, HACCP) is a plus.
