Job Description
- Implement and monitor policies and procedures for hospital staff regarding sterilization, disinfection and decontamination of personnel, instruments and equipment.
- Regularly round in various hospital departments to evaluate compliance with infection prevention practices and regulatory
- Develop and provide educational programs for hospital staff on infection prevention practices. This includes training new employees on basic infection prevention principles.
- Analyze and distribute monthly surveillance data of the Infection Control team and reports to the medical staff, nursing staff and the quality and safety departments.
- Lead investigations of infection outbreaks, collaborating with clinical teams to identify sources, implement control measures, and report findings.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare field (e.g., physician, pharmacist, dentist)
- Infection control diploma is a must.
- 2 years of experience in infection control , with specific experience in GAHAR accreditation processes.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and implement effective infection control measures.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards related to infection control.
