Job Description
- Responsible for New Product formulation and concept creation.
- Experience working closely with Marketing and Sales to deliver consumer targeted new products within a specified timeline and cost constraints.
- Prepares new formulations guided by project brief; develops and documents the formula (for capsule, tablets, powder and liquid). If approved, then will manage the pilot batch development and subsequent evaluation through new product start-up.
- Manages ongoing formulation changes for existing products including test batches and formula changes required due to ingredient changes, manufacturing issues or regulation changes.
- Responsible for the reformulation of products to address cost savings.
- Capable of working in a manufacturing environment to participate in normal product development and product improvement activities with production personnel.
- Cost analysis for formulations.
Job Requirements
- B.S. Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field.
- 4-10 years of experience as a formulator in cosmetic or pharmatiticual field.
- Strong organizational skills.
