Job Description
One of our sister companies is looking for a Production Manager who will be responsible for managing the end-to-end production process for events, ensuring seamless execution through meticulous planning, coordination, and delivery. This role requires managing suppliers, obtaining quotations, maintaining the highest quality standards, and organizing the production team to meet project timelines and budgets. The Production Manager acts as the backbone of the production team, ensuring all aspects of an event are executed to perfection.
Supplier and Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for event production needs, including AV equipment, staging, lighting, décor, and more.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent quality and reliability.
- Negotiate contracts to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms while adhering to budget constraints.
- Continuously review supplier performance and maintain a database of preferred vendors.
Quotation and Cost Management
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates, factoring in materials, labor, logistics, and contingencies.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure budget alignment and cost-effectiveness.
- Regularly review project expenditures to ensure adherence to approved budgets.
- Provide clients with detailed quotations and justification for production costs as required.
Quality Control and Standards
- Oversee all production deliverables to ensure they meet the company’s quality standards.
- Conduct pre-event checks, including material inspections and supplier audits, to guarantee the best quality.
- Implement processes to monitor and evaluate the execution of events for continuous improvement.
Event Planning and Execution
- Collaborate with the event planning team to understand project objectives, scope, and creative vision.
- Develop and manage comprehensive production schedules, ensuring all milestones are met on time.
- Oversee logistical arrangements, including transportation, storage, and on-site setup.
- Perform site visits to assess venue suitability and address production-specific requirements.
Risk and Issue Management
- Identify potential production risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
- Ensure all safety and regulatory compliance measures are in place for production activities.
- Act as the primary point of contact for resolving production-related issues during events.
Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare post-event reports that include insights into production performance, vendor feedback, and areas for improvement.
- Maintain organized records of contracts, budgets, production schedules, and supplier evaluations.
Job Requirements
Technical Skills
- Proficient in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Trello, or similar).
