Job Description

Technical Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical support and guidance to technicians in diagnosing and repairing vehicle issues.
  2. Oversee the maintenance and repair operations within the workshop to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks.
  3. Conduct quality control inspections to uphold service standards and ensure customer satisfaction.
  4. Collaborate with the parts department to procure necessary spare parts and materials for vehicle repairs.
  5. Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repair activities, including parts usage and labor hours.
  6. Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques through continuous learning and training.

Customer Service Responsibilities:

  1. Greet customers and assess their vehicle service needs upon arrival at the workshop.
  2. Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle symptoms and issues.
  3. Provide clear explanations of recommended services, repair estimates, and timelines to customers.
  4. Coordinate with technicians to prioritize and schedule vehicle repairs based on customer preferences and workshop capacity.
  5. Keep customers informed about the status of their vehicle repairs and address any questions or concerns they may have.
  6. Ensure a seamless customer experience from drop-off to vehicle pickup, including invoicing and payment processing.
  7. Handle customer complaints or issues professionally and promptly to achieve satisfactory resolutions.
  8. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to foster loyalty and repeat business.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience working in an automotive service workshop, with expertise in both technical and customer service roles.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostic tools, and repair techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members.
  • Solid organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service experiences.
  • Proficiency in using automotive repair software and computer systems for job tracking and invoicing.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities and customer needs.
