Job Summary:
The English Teacher will be responsible for providing a safe and developmentally appropriate English language learning environment for children in accordance with all relevant policies and procedures of HEI Schools Egypt. The role requires a blend of teaching and nurturing skills, aimed at guiding young children through their early learning stages.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Curriculum Development and Instruction:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences in English.
- Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
- Incorporate teaching methodologies that support the learning styles of young children.
2. Child Development and Assessment:
- Monitor and record children’s progress and development, adapting teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
- Conduct regular assessments to evaluate student understanding and progress.
- Identify and support students with additional needs or language barriers.
3. Classroom Management:
- Create and maintain a safe, clean, stimulating classroom environment that fosters learning.
- Implement and enforce rules for behavior and classroom procedures.
4. Communication and Collaboration:
- Maintain regular communication with parents regarding their children’s progress.
- Collaborate with other teachers and administrative staff to enhance the educational environment.
5. Professional Development:
- Stay updated with developments in early childhood education and English language teaching.
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
6. Safety and Well-being:
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
- Respond to the physical, emotional, and social needs of the children.
7. Event Participation and Organization:
- Participate in and help organize school events, field trips, and activities.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, English, or a related field.
- Teaching certification or credential in early childhood education.
- Proficiency in English is a must.
- Previous experience in teaching or working with young children is preferred.
- Strong understanding of child development and early education principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
