Job Summary:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the accounting department's daily operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting regulations, and managing a team of accountants. This role involves financial analysis, budgeting, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and company policies.
- Oversee the preparation of financial reports, audits, and tax filings.
Accounting Operations:
- Manage daily accounting activities, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial transactions.
- Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting policies.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing insights and recommendations.
- Work closely with management to align financial goals with business objectives.
Team Management & Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor a team of accountants and finance professionals.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide training and professional development.
- Promote a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Process Improvement & Automation:
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems.
- Implement automation tools to enhance accounting efficiency.
- Ensure best practices in financial management and reporting.
Job Requirements
