Job Description
- Analyze and monitor manufacturing costs, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed cost reports and present findings to management for informed decision-making.
- Maintain and update cost accounting systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with production, procurement, and finance teams to collect and validate cost data.
- Conduct regular inventory valuations and reconcile physical stock with accounting records.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes by providing cost-related insights and analysis.
- Review and analyze bill of materials (BOM) and production processes to optimize cost efficiency.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary cost documentation and analysis.
- Monitor and report on key cost drivers, highlighting trends and potential areas for savings.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and best practices in cost accounting procedures.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably within a manufacturing or textile environment.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, methods, and best practices.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, office-based environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Experience with inventory management and reconciliation.
- Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
