Job Description

  1. Source, evaluate, and purchase raw materials, chemicals, pigments, and other supplies required for paint manufacturing while considering quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
  2. Vendor Management: Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements. Continuously evaluate supplier performance to ensure adherence to quality standards and delivery schedules.
  3. Monitor inventory levels of raw materials to prevent shortages or excess stock. Implement effective inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize carrying costs.
  4. Prepare and process purchase orders, contracts, and other necessary documentation. Ensure accuracy and completeness of all purchasing documents.
  5. Close co-operation with sales and Product Development regarding any changes in our product offer.
  6. Manage raw material inbound supply and ensure correct dates for arrivals.
  7. Complete various tasks in Odoo (order entry & update, price list updates, invoice & credit note handling, supplier & raw material information upkeep).
  8. Communicate daily with adhesive Suppliers about incoming orders.
  9. Handling packaging materials and ensuring correct dates for arrival with good communication with production and warehouse operations.
  10. Maintain ERP system and corresponding reports including the PO list and BOMs with all relevant details.
  11. Review and analyze regular procurement report to follow up on open orders, receipts and resolve issues. Track, report, and confirm estimated delivery dates.

Job Requirements

  • bachelor’s degree  from faculty of  engineering or science in chemistry section
  • previous experience in chemical purchasing  from 2-3 years is highly important
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in local Procurement & Purchasing at a corporate with suppliers
  • Strong understanding of Logistics / Supply Chain Management / Purchasing.
  • Excellent presentation skills with a keen ability to negotiate with suppliers long term relationships and an ethical approach to business are essential.
  • Good computer skills in particular outlook and  Excel must be of a high standard.
  • Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and with business application software, purchasing and resource planning systems
  • Strong communication skills in English are essential
