Job Description


The Preschool Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the preschool, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children . This role involves managing staff, developing educational programs, and maintaining compliance with licensing regulations.

Key Responsibilities:


Leadership and Management:

  • Supervise and support preschool staff, including teachers and assistants.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing professional development.
  • Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork.

Curriculum Development:

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programs and activities.
  • Assess and adapt curriculum to meet the diverse needs of children.
  • Encourage parental involvement in educational activities.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure the preschool meets all local and state licensing requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records for child enrollment, attendance, and assessments.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and implement health and safety protocols.

Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for parents, addressing concerns and providing updates on their child’s progress.
  • Organize and lead parent-teacher meetings and community events.
  • Collaborate with local organizations and resources to enhance educational offerings.

Financial Management:

  • Prepare and manage the preschool budget, including tuition and funding proposals.
  • Oversee purchasing of supplies and materials within budgetary constraints.
  • Monitor enrollment and develop strategies for recruitment and retention.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position 
  • Must be able to lift children and classroom materials as needed.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Previous experience in early childhood education, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
