Technical Safety Engineer Oil & Gas (Multinational)

Engineer (preferably Chemist or Environment and Territory), and in possession of mastery of specialized techniques in the field of safety engineering.
Minimum job grade: Junior
Job Purpose 
Develop a high value in Technical safety design, to achieve the objectives of the project while ensuring the application of the highest standards of plant integrity, safety, and environmental protection, collaborating with the project team
 

Main Responsibilities 

• Technical safety design
• Key activities Knowledge of all the phases/activities of execution of a project and its technical content;
• Ability to carry out estimation activities (list of documents, etc.) and relative estimation of project timing;
• Knowledge of international and national regulations and standards applicable to both onshore and offshore Oil & Gas plants;
• Participation in Process Safety analyses, including activities related to the HAZID / HAZOP methodology.
• Knowledge of Risk Assessment methodologies aimed at the elaboration of Formal Safety
• Assessments studies (eg. Quantitative Risk Assessment, Fire and Explosion Risk Assessment,
• Emergency System Survivability Analysis, Evacuation Escape, and Rescue Assessment, ALARP
• Demonstration Report, Gas Dispersion Study, Gas Explosion Study, Noise Study, Dropped Object Study, etc.)
• Knowledge of specialized methodologies or application software programs (e.g. DNV PHAST software)
• Skills in the Classification of Hazardous Areas according to CEI 60079-10 and API 505.
• Ability to independently follow simple safety studies
• Reports to Project Engineer (within the projects) / Technical Safety Discipline
