Computer Software Human Resources
At least 5 years hands-on experience administering a 24/7 IT infrastructure
Experience administering, deploying, and troubleshooting Linux environments
Experience in data center, preferred hardware knowledge on HP/DELL servers
Have worked with VMWare visualization including Horizon View,Vmware, KVM, HyperV or other VDI solutions
Exposure to different storage solutions (SAN/NAS/EMC), and experience implementing & managing at the OS level
Experienced in P2V, V2V and V2P migration
Working knowledge on VMware vcloud, AWS and Azure
Good working knowledge and hands on experience on Routing and Switching
Proficiency in base scripting languages, Shell, PowerShell, Batch or similar languages
Preferred experience in Oracle, MySQL and MS SQL administration
Strong understanding around environment/server performance and how to identify and troubleshoot issues
Solid understanding of DNS, DHCP and fundamental network protocols such as TCP/UDP
Experience with visualization platforms, server consolidation, and administering virtual environments
Great English communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to quickly triage problems under pressure, determine root cause, and drive issues to completion
Identifying areas of concern and scope of work for upcoming iterations to improve the overall process of deployments, development and administration
Bachelor's degree in CS, EE or MIS; or equivalent experience
Nice to Have:
Database server management and understanding
Clustering of OS/Applications, and understanding points of scalability
Experience implementing & maintaining production backup processes
Ability to be part of an after-hours support rotation to address critical issues that may arise, as well as support release deployments
Experience deploying centralized monitoring solutions
Total compensation: is US$30/hr for productive 40-hour work week; annually that’s $60,000.
