Job Description
- Create Steel structural models by using computer-aided design software
- Calculate dead/live/seismic loads or loads caused by environmental or human influence on suspended steel structures
- Follow local or international construction codes and design guidelines.
- Choose appropriate materials, components based on structural specifications
- read and understand Shop Drawings and Details
- Prepare BOQs for items
Job Requirements
- Previous experience as a Structural Engineer or similar field
- Excellent knowledge of construction methods and regulations
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD
- Data-driven mindset with excellent mathematical skills
- Dead/live/seismic load calculations and effect analysis.
- Good communication ability (both written and verbal)
- Excellent researching skills
- Knowledge of seismic bracing techniques and restraints is a plus
- Degree in Structural Engineering; a Master’s degree is a plus
- Member of the Institute of Structural Engineering
