Job Description
- Conceptualize and design original clothing collections aligned with current fashion trends and brand identity.
- Develop detailed sketches, mood boards, and technical drawings to communicate design ideas effectively.
- Select fabrics, colors, and trims, ensuring quality and suitability for each garment.
- Collaborate with pattern makers, sample makers, and production teams to bring designs from concept to completion.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activities.
- Revise and refine designs based on feedback from team members and stakeholders.
- Oversee the creation of prototypes and samples, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design specifications.
- Participate in virtual fittings and adjust designs for optimal fit and comfort.
- Prepare and present design concepts to internal teams and external partners.
- Maintain organized records of design processes, materials, and production details.
Job Requirements
- 1-5 years of professional experience in clothing or fashion design.
- Proven ability to create original designs and translate concepts into finished garments.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, textiles, and production processes.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for remote teamwork.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Knowledge of current fashion trends and market dynamics.
- Portfolio showcasing previous design work and creative process.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and open to feedback.
