Job Description
- Design and build applications for the iOS platform.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation help to improve the PlanRadar iOS app (smartphone, tablet).
- Write code that’s readable, well documented, and has meaningful tests.
- Build new features and improve the existing codebase.
- Collaborate with the whole team and get involved in planning new features, improving existing features, and architectural decisions.
- Spend time on getting things done correctly, not quick and dirty.
- Development, selection, and integration of new technologies.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer programming, computer science, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience as an iOS Developer.
- Deep and intimate understanding of developing native iOS apps (Objective-C, Swift, CoreData, Cocoa Touch Framework, Cocoa Design Patterns, Git, CocoaPods, REST, and common 3rd party frameworks like AFNetworking/Alamofire).
- Knowledge on how to write clean and robust code.
- Knowledge of low-level C-based libraries is preferred.
- Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines.
- English language skills (German is a plus).
- A pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills and understanding of the importance of team cohesion.
- A knack for benchmarking and optimization.
- Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services.
- Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards.
- Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools.
- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
