Job Scope:
The Web content editor/translator will be responsible for:
- Selecting, translating, editing and publishing content on the web from English to Arabic in accordance with the brand’s strategy and guidelines
- Using standard web CMS services like Wordpress or Drupal.
- He/she will actively collaborate with other members of the editing team to create and/or fine-tune editorial processes and policies and will also be required to work closely with graphic designers and development teams.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Arts, Journalism or Mass Communication.
- 2 – 7 years of professional experience in a similar position.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with an understanding of the special requirements of writing for the Web, such as the use of keywords, hyper-links, navigation and the importance of brevity.
- Proof and samples of previously published web content/articles.
- Hands-on experience with popular web content management systems such as; DRUPAL and WORDPRESS.
- Proficiency in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices (On-page SEO, Content SEO, Keyword Research, etc..)
- A creative team player with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines efficiently
- A good eye for detail, with excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation skills.
- Excellent research skills and the ability to pick out key points from complex information and present them in a clear concise manner.
- Basic understanding of related legal issues such as copyright, privacy, and accessibility, etc.
