Job Description

The HR Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works under supervision of the Country HR Lead and supports the factory operations. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, compensation and benefits, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer various HR plans and procedures for the factory's personnel; assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures; maintains the employee handbook and the policies and procedures manual.
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
  • Administer the compensation program; monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
  • Conduct recruitment effort for all personnel, students and temporary employees of the factory; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career-pathing program; and writes and places advertisements.
  • Handle employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing.
  • Participate in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
  • Maintain factory organization charts and the employee directory.
  • Assist in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
  • Maintain HR information system records and compiles reports from the database.
  • Maintain compliance with local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain health and safety records and regulations of factory to comply with regulations.
  • Partner with employees and management to communicate various HR policies, procedures, laws, standards and other government regulations.
  • Manage the contract of the outsourcing company and monitor its services.
  • Prepare and submit reports to the Country HR Lead and the Global HR Head on HR activities in the factory.
  • Support and participate in implementation of HR initiatives that aim to enhance corporate culture.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration.
  • HR Diploma/Certificate is a must.
  • Post graduate study is a plus.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English language.
