Job Description
- Set university wide-goals, objectives and strategies for the IT, Supply Chain, and Financial departments.
- Select and implement suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize their strategic benefits.
- Design and customize technological systems and platforms to improve internal and external customer experience.
- Plan the implementation of new systems and provide guidance to IT professionals and other staff within the organization.
- Approve purchases of technological equipment and software and establish beneficial partnerships with service providers.
- Oversee the technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) in the organization to ensure optimal performance.
- Direct and organize IT and systems related projects.
- Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways the university can gain competitive advantage and increase productivity.
- Analyze the costs, value and risks of information technology to advise management and suggest actions.
- Review financial reports and ensure full proof system avoiding possible breaches and frauds.
- Ensure continuous development all over the university and set plan to achieve goals.
- Create and implement optimum protocols and standards within IT, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure successful workflow all over the university.
- Work with upper management and senior staff to set standards and ensure continuous development.
- Oversee contract negotiations with vendors, contractors and service providers.
Job Requirements
- Proven working experience as a CIO or similar position.
- Excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure.
- Background in designing/developing IT systems, in addition of and planning and implementation of information and technological projects.
- Solid understanding of data analysis, Financial, budgeting and business operations
- Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- A strong strategic and business mindset.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- BSc/BA in computer science, engineering or relevant field.
- MSc/MA is a preference in computer science, engineering or relevant field.
- MBA is a must
- Excellent command of English language.
- Previous Experience in implementing ERP systems.
