Job Description
You will be working with a small but very talented start-up based in London. You will be expected to support the team by delivering high quality solutions ensuring key decisions on technical approach and delivery are communicated appropriately and agreed with the team.
The project will be conducted in approximately 8 phases, with each phase having a fixed price. You will be responsible for creating scalable, efficient and secure endpoints for our mobile team as well as having a say in the technical design of the project.
This will be a fully remote role.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Commercial experience using Node.js
- Experience with CI/CD
- Experience with both unit and integration testing
- Attention to detail and enjoy writing well- structured clean code
- Excellent communication skills, including written and oral English, ensuring that the team are aware of progress and any potential issues.
- The ability to create applications that are consistent, extremely serviceable, dependable and performant
- Understanding of authentication and security for data and endpoints
- Creating endpoints for mobile clients
- Working with Heroku and Firebase
- Experience in combining multiple external data sources
- Worked with Git version control
- Experience with PostgreSQL
- Agile/Scrum development
Very nice to have:
- Working on high scaling projects
- Working with the MapBox SDK
- Working knowledge of location/map based applications
- Social network APIs, particularly Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
- Understanding of DevOps
