Job Description
- Designs and presents model lessons to enhance skills of individual co-teaching teams.
- Facilitates the use of data to support teachers in decision-making and measuring of student achievement and progress leading toward improved student outcomes.
- Meets regularly with teachers, both in groups and individually, to analyze their work and instructional practices to ensure that “best practice” methods are utilized.
- Participates in co-teaching walk-throughs and provides appropriate recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Assists with the identification of exemplary co-teaching teams to serve as model classrooms.
- Creates and maintains a bank of effective learning and instructional strategies for use in providing Specialized Instruction.
- Effectively demonstrates the use of these strategies to support instruction and engagement.
- Collaborates and communicates effectively as a team member.
- Performs other responsibilities as necessary for the effectiveness of the organization.
Job Requirements
- Masters or diploma in education.
- Experience in leading a group of teachers.
- Five years of experience as a supervisor or working in a leadership position in an international school.
- Available to work 3-4 days per week with our schools clients.
- Advanced ability to work with technical systems such as MS Access and MS Excel.
- Must be process- and detail-oriented.
- Strong oral/written communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong work ethic and a positive, friendly, and customer service-oriented attitude.
- Comfortable working with culturally and ethnically diverse populations, and possess exceptional cross-cultural communication skills.
- Requires at least 5 years of teaching experience with focus on inclusive practices and experience in a co-teaching environment.
- Experience in delivering data driven instruction.
- Extensive knowledge of current best practices/research-based strategies targeting small group and individual student learning needs.
- The ability to effectively facilitate professional learning of teacher groups and individuals.
- Mentoring and informal leadership activities with success in improving other teachers’ instructional skills to increase student learning.
