Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a PHP Backend Developer. The PHP Backend Developer will be responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with Back-End Web Development, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and Software Development. The role is located in Giza and flexibility to work from home is acceptable.
- Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications.
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
- Integrate data storage solutions.
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues.
- Integrate with user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic.
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
- Optimize the application for maximum speed and scalability.
- Implement security and data protection.
- Design and implement the data storage solutions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions.
- Strong experience with PHP (Laravel),
- Good knowledge of MVC design patterns.
- Understanding of RESTful API design and event-driven architectures.
- Ideally experienced in the use of Craft CMS, Laravel applications,
- Experience with UNIX / Linux operating systems, web servers, and security maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Good English.
