Job Description
Purpose of the Job
Provides instructional design support in the creation of technical course-ware that conforms to industry best practices and complies with department standards.
Principal Accountabilities
- Participates in needs assessment activities using a variety of data–collection methods, including document reviews and SME interviews.
- Collaborates with peers and client Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop design specs, write learning objectives, and develop course content.
- Designs and develops learning materials including; Facilitator Guides, Participant Guides, Quick Reference Guides, Job Aids and eLearning modules.
- Reviews deliverable for completeness, compliance with standards, and consistency with the detailed design plan.
- Conducts full spectrum of evaluation activities including analyzing content, writing test items, designing and conducting session evaluation.
- Reviews and revises course content based on student and client feedback.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalents for Instructional Design.
- Experience: 0-3 years of experience in designing and developing both ILT and web-based technical training materials.
- Fluency in English language.
- Excellent technical writing, structured writing techniques, and demonstrable documentation skills.
- Ability to understand technical/engineering concepts and to learn product functionality and application.
- Well-versed in instructional design methodologies.
- Proficient with use of Microsoft Office, Adobe authoring tools, eLearning software applications, and assessment development tools.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
