Job Description
PURPOSE OF ROLE:
Strong technical foundation in database structure, configuration, implementation, and practice. Knowledge and experience in major database (Oracle / SQL). Qualified candidates must be detail oriented, have strong multi-tasking skills, and the willingness to be part of a hard-working team. KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creating database models and architecture
- Creating and testing proofs of concept
- Managing and monitoring databases
- Strong working knowledge of performance tuning and indexes
- Implementing and maintaining backup plans
- Write complex analytical logic using SQL
- Drive the implementation of analytic tools for audits
- Ensure data deployments occur through all environments
- Work with app and data teams to identify that all deployment steps are documented and valid
- Participate in pre-deployment meetings as necessary
- Develop operational database guidelines
- Develop database standards and documentation (SOP)
- Provide guidance for platforms and tools
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- 4+ years of SQL server/Oracle database experience or database administration experience.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle.
- Experience with database migration, performance tuning and optimization, and setting up and managing database connections.
- Familiar with SQL Reporting services including creating, modifying, and managing custom reports.
