Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented General Ledger (GL) Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate financial statements, managing fixed assets and depreciation, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing detailed financial analysis and reports. Experience with consolidation is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Oversee fixed asset recognition, depreciation calculations, and reconciliations.
- Analyze financial data and prepare insightful financial reports to support decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to accounting principles and stay updated on changes in regulations.
- Provide support and consultation on accounting matters across the team.
- Assist with external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and clarifications.
- Contribute to financial consolidation processes as needed.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of proven experience in a similar role, particularly in financial statement preparation and reporting.
- Experience with financial consolidation is a strong advantage.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards (e.g., IFRS or Egyptian GAAP).
- Hands-on experience with fixed asset accounting, including depreciation.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
