Job Description

Head of Finance & Administration

  • Managing financial reporting for GRID. This includes monthly financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, 5 year financial plans and all statutory financial reporting
  • Provide sound financial support and insights to enable GRID to make business decisions
  • Presentation of financial results and insights to the GRID director.
  • Managing and overseeing the taxation affairs of the organization and liaising with the external tax firm for specialist advice
  • Managing and overseeing the cash flow of the GRID and ensuring it has the appropriate treasury controls
  • Managing the External Auditor relationship and ensuring the organization is compliant with accounting standards
  • Managing and overseeing the company's banking
  • Managing and overseeing the company’s financial systems
  • Investment appraisal and analysis
  • Presenting results to non-finance people to understand
  • Recruitment, training, mentoring and development of staff
  • Overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, Treasury, Payroll, Financial and Management Accounting functions.
  • Risk Management to ensure the business has a solid risk framework in place
  • Overseeing commercial decision making from tender analysis, margin analysis, pricing analysis etc.
  • Advising and implementing best practice methods to increase revenue and reduce costs
  • Advising on market changes and providing strategic financial recommendations to the GRID director
  • Managing and tracking budget and accounting information including billing, collections, and tax information
  • Review all formal finance, HR, and procurement related policies and procedures

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of related experience, including 5 years of management level experience. 
  • Experience in a senior financial-management role, partnering with executive staff, resulting in the development and implementation of creative financial management strategies.
  • Experience in Egyptian Finance Taxation, Finance governance laws & finance practices.
  • Experienced in organizational leadership with demonstrated ability to achieve organizational goals.
  • Willingness to work independently and in a team leadership framework with demonstrated skills in effectively leading and participating in strategic planning.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit demonstrated through prior experience working in start-up like environments building new teams or programs and/or flexibility in the face of rapidly evolving scope of work and new challenges.
  • Flexible, collaborative, and proactive; a team leader who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical finance and administrative initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree (or Higher) in business, business administration, finance or directly related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Knowledge of, and ability to apply, diversified financial management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in brief, focused and well organized oral and written presentations.
  • Ability to establish work priorities and provide follow through to insure completion of activities, both personally and in subordinates.
