Summary:
The Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the spare parts warehouse operations. This includes leading and motivating the warehouse team, managing inventory control, implementing efficient storage solutions, and ensuring accurate reporting. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in spare parts warehouse management and a strong understanding of ERP systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies for spare parts warehouse coding and physical reutilization to maximize space utilization and improve inventory accuracy.
- Prepare and analyze aging reports for spare parts, identify non-moving items, and develop and implement solutions for disposal, reallocation, or other appropriate actions to minimize obsolescence and financial losses.
- Participate in the development and implementation of the ERP system structure for spare parts warehouses, ensuring accurate data entry and system functionality.
- Prepare and distribute regular reports on spare parts inventory levels, movements, and other key metrics to relevant stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely fulfillment of requests.
- Continuously evaluate and improve warehouse processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager/Operations Manager.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role managing spare parts warehouses.
- Proven experience in inventory management, including coding, reutilization, and aging analysis.
- Strong understanding of ERP systems and experience in their implementation and management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
