Job Description

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Caduceus Lane is currently looking to hire a Marketing Director with a strategic mindset to formulate and develop strategic marketing plans that effectively align with the vision of the company. The role also entails managing the company’s Marketing Department and ensuring that the management and market influence process drives the team and company forward. 

The Marketing Director will work with the company’s Commercial Operations Leadership Team directly in order to improve and further develop the capacity and functionality spectrum of the company’s corporate marketing team. This shall be achieved through following and implementing strategic approaches to capabilities, processes, and culture of the Marketing Department. 

The Marketing Director shall be responsible for integrating the team with the organization in broader terms in order to ensure that the processes and approaches followed by the Marketing Department properly comply with the vision and organizational needs of the company. 

The Director shall also be responsible for multiple high-impact pillars, especially since the role has multiple stakeholders and requires executive influence. This role requires a creative and results-driven thinker with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for strategic marketing with experience in portfolio management and cross-markets capacities. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Defining the strategic direction and process needed to bring the vision of the Marketing      Department to life
  • Building strategic and forward-thinking marketing capabilities to develop a marketing organization that effectively copes with the constant changes in the field
  • Formulating corporate marketing strategies, leading the direction of marketing communication plans, and overseeing the execution of market effectiveness domains
  • Leading the corporate portfolio strategy in collaboration with the Portfolio Management Team with stratified strategic direction down to the brand management across the different business units.
  • Collaborating with all business and marketing management stakeholders to validate all brand management strategies developed across the company’s different business units
  • Designing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies to accurately define and outline the company’s market presence and business expansion
  • Implementing analytics-driven management in order to push the portfolio and brand management direction forward to key stakeholders in the Commercial Operations and Commercial Management divisions
  • Orchestrating the brands’ marketing voice and execution perspective in the leadership of brand management team to ensure the effective execution of all developed tactical plans
  • Leading the formulation and development of an annual marketing planning process that effectively serves key corporate pillars and business model dynamics
  • Collaborating with stakeholders and leaders across the company’s various functions to identify market opportunities and conduct analysis to identify gaps and map needs with targeted markets
  • Crafting a corporate marketing vision supported by a structured plan to promote a culture that is built on strategic marketing
  • Helping future marketing leaders grow through developing their skills in cooperation with the HR and Learning Development teams
  • Leading the processes of  budget allocation, resource optimization, and market impact domains related to all corporate, portfolio, and brand marketing execution plans

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree (BSc/BA) in business administration, marketing and communications, or a relevant field
  • Advanced (postgraduate) degree in strategic marketing and/or brand management is required
  • At least 4 years of experience in a similar role 
  • At least 8 years of experience in a marketing/portfolio management role 
  • Previous experience in corporate business is a plus  
  • Commercial acumen and experience in cross-markets management are preferred

  • Advanced strategic thinking and consultancy skills, as well as considerable critical acumen
  • Ability to develop and execute a marketing strategy that meets customers’ needs 
  • Top-notch leadership skills 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Having a detail-oriented, creative, and data-driven mindset with strong managerial competencies 
  • Ability to work closely and effectively with teams remotely  
  • Ability to cope with and work in an extremely fast-paced environment 
  • Multi-tasking and ability to effectively prioritize tasks according to urgency and strategic thinking   
  • Updated knowledge of and experience with online marketing techniques and the latest marketing practices
