Job Description
- Provide the required quotations from the export and import team for FCL, LCL, and air shipments.
- Issue and send shipping instructions to shipping lines and agents.
- Revise and send draft bill of lading (BL) to export and import teams.
- Issue CO certificates for all export shipments and arrange the internal procedures.
- Request and revise Euro 1, Form A, COMESSA, and fumigation certificates for all export shipments.
- Follow up with our representative in Alexandria on the status of BLs and freight forwarder invoices.
- Issue official letters (TELEX, delegation, amendments, etc.).
- Arrange the daily loading operations procedures.
- Follow up on loading operations (prepare loading sheet after stuffing and weight, send port documents to brokers (invoice and packing list)).
- Issue payment requests for import and export shipments.
- Issue insurance request policy for import and export shipments.
- Follow up with Finance on the status of payment requests for insurance, import, and export shipments.
- Prepare the weekly report for the required payments status.
- Follow up on export filing (request new files, prepare and arrange originals received such as BLs and certificates).
- Collect all export shipment BL copies for the governmental incentive proposal.
- Follow up with our brokers on the customs procedures.
- Track lead time with the export and production teams.
- Follow up with the shipping lines on freight costs, bookings, vessel dates, etc.
- Follow up on documentation between Export and the shipping lines, freight forwarders.
- Follow up on the forecasted order details with the export team.
- Handle correspondence with the export team regarding order status, loading forecasting, pending loadings, agent issues, etc.
- Prepare weekly reports (pending, sea freight cost, daily operations).
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports (loading CONT's, pending, freight profit).
Job Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in shipping and logistics.
- Strong understanding of shipping procedures and regulations.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
