Job Description
- Manage all accounting transactions
- Bookkeeping/Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
- Update accounts receivable and issue invoices.
- Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations.
- Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.
- Reconcile accounts with the general ledger to ensure all entries are accurate and that transactions are reported in accordance with accounting standards.
- Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned.
- Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available
when needed. - Prepare and submit monthly/Quarterly/Yearly reports required by the company as well as by authorities.
- Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
- Assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
- Assist with other accounting projects.
- Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
- Audit financial transactions and documents
- Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
- Comply with financial policies and regulations
Job Requirements
- Work experience as an Accountant including experience within AP/AR or GL function
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience in Contracting and Cost Accounting.
- Experience in Importing and Exporting related accounting.
- Good knowledge of Egyptian Tax laws and their updates.
- Hands-on experience with accounting/ERP software like ERPNext is a plus.
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
- Experience with general ledger functions
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- Fluent in English.
- BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
- Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus
