Job Description
- Commitment of HSE requirements in the company, following up the application of safety policy & all safety instructions in all departments & providing the tools & equipment to maintain the safety of the human, money & property.
- Commitment for monitoring the behavior of individuals within the facility, issuance of safety rules & instructions using the safety signs in all site containing the safety instructions in every area like: PPE, gowning, No entry signs in electrical rooms....etc.
- Participation in preparing appropriate contingency plans in the facility against potential risks and supervision of personnel and coordination with the concerned authorities in this regard and formal adoption by the competent authorities.
- Assisting in leading of the evacuation and rescue team in case of emergency and evacuation & the training on the plan.
- Assess and analysis of risks for each function or activity in the company.
- Training & orientation of the employees, prepare safety signs for machines & ensure that personnel are qualified & knowledgeable enough to operate the machines, turn it on & off, follow the safety & security instructions in machine operation to avoid risk & misuse.
- Investigate the Incidents, study the causes and develop adequate reports.
- Participate in the development and training of emergency plan & implement special courses to train employees on emergency & fire cases & how to use the tools & equipment to avoid extra losses & maintain human, money & property safe.
- Follow-up of daily & periodical inspection on all departments & site areas to make sure the instructions for occupational safety and health are implemented & no violation during maintenance works inside the company.
- Participate in meetings of the Safety Committee as a member.
- Participate in the preparation of evacuation plan & responsible for plan implementation according to the training program & review plan according to the requirements.
- Follow up the contractors’ works in the company to ensure the compliance with the occupational health and safety instructions in site.
- Detect environmental effects and risks for occupational safety and health and suggest required control measures.
- Design the HSE instructions for each department & check and the review the effectiveness of the implementation.
- Responsible for training of HSE team on writing the environmental and safety reports.
- Supervise and monitor the performance of HSE team.
- Follow up the license & approvals required for any audit committee related to HSE works in accordance with the instructions of the HSE Manager.
- Distribute PPE & other requirements according to the auditing authorities & cover any notes issued from these authorities & follow up the progress of implementation in all related departments in accordance with the instructions of the HSE Manager.
- Follow up any contracts related to occupational, health & safety requirements such as firefighting tools, gowning, PPE, hazard waste or any other governmental authorities’ needs without any violation to health & environmental requirements.
- Ensure compliance with the civil defense requirements & instructions; training employees on firefighting, evacuation & emergency cases, providing fire extinguishers & tools that are comply with the requirements of civil defense.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Engineering or science is a must.
- 4-5 years of experience in HSE in industrial companies.
- Holds HSE Specialist legal certificate (Basic & Advanced) & holds at least the basic safety certificates (OSHA, construction safety, Firefighting, First Aid, etc, NEBOSH IGC is preferred).
- Auditing experience on ISO 14001 & 45001 standards.
- Cairo/Giza residents are preferred.
