Job Description
The Role of Field HVAC Commissioning Engineer comprises of, but is not limited to, the following:
- Direct contact and involvement with Sub-contractors.
- Perform the pre-commissioning activity and highlight the issues that will affect
- commissioning process.
- Familiar with performance measurement, commissioning and troubleshooting of HVAC various equipment such as AHUs, Exhaust fans, Smoke extract fans, Staircase Pressurization fans, Chilled water pumps, valves, FCUs, …. etc.
- Familiar with the operation and troubleshooting of various types of starters.
- Prepare the installation site readiness report and highlight the delayed systems based on the commissioning schedule
- Monitoring of all abnormalities in all energized electrical equipment’s.
- Implement system performance review, to ensure that prior to handover for witness to the Engineer that the systems are operating within the design intended conditions and project specification requirements.
Job Requirements
- Perform all the commissioning functional and integration test on the site and insure a smooth handover to the client representative.
- Prepare and submit the testing and commissioning report and reply to the consultant and client
representative comment. - Review all the Sub-Contractor submitting to ensure compliance with the contract documents and the commissioning plan prior to be submitted to the engineer for the final approval.
- Prepare a daily and weekly report for the commissioning activity and highlight the comments and issues.
- Plans and schedules work to ensure proper distribution of assignments and duties of the team
- Certify that works are complete and systems are tested as per the Contract Documentation and project specification requirements
- .To be familiar with MEP pre-commissioning activities such as dead testing, pipework/ductwork pressure testing, flushing, chemical cleaning, ductwork cleaning etc.
- Site verification of electrical equipment (controls/interface wiring).
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
- Provide technical guidance to the team regarding the safe installation, maintenance and repair of MEP Systems.
