Job Description
- Desktop Support: (Computers and laptops support)Follow up and supervise Junior IT in handling the following:
- Software and hardware support
- Investigate user problems, determine possible solutions, test and implement
- Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis
- Install and configure new computers
- Suggest disposal/replacement of obsolete equipment
- Ensure all computers are virus protected and databases are up to date
- Server & Gateway support: (Servers Administration)
- Ensure server and gateway are virus free and protected
- Rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements
- Create, change, and delete user accounts as requested
- Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis
- 3. Network support:
- Recommend and schedule repairs to the LAN/WAN by performing regular checks
- Follow up the troubleshoot networks and network devices solutions made by Junior IT
- Liaise with client’s IT technician to add remove network devices/ports
- Suggest upgrades to the current network
- Review solutions provided by Junior IT in connection issues that may arise
- Preform regular maintenance to the existing networks
- 4. Data Backup:
- Ensure data is backed up on daily basis (currently to SOS) and inform by email on the same day if not backed
- Ensure data is successfully backed up to the appropriate media on monthly basis (external hard drive) or when required
- Verify completion of daily backup operations
- Retrieve historical documents upon request
- 5. Disaster Recovery Plan:
- Update Disaster recovery plans annually for both Keys Group and Keys Payroll
- 6. IT policies:
- Ensure that IT policies are implemented and adhered to by preforming pre scheduled spot checks with
- Update IT policy if and when changes occur in any set up/company
- Email support:
- Create, change, and delete user accounts as requested
- Monitor email usage; email
- 8. Give the Junior IT the required training and knowledge to perform their required tasks effectively
- 9.Consulting with client to specify system requirements and suggest solutions
- 10. Budgeting for equipment and assembly costs annually
- 11. Assembling new systems
- 12. Monitoring computer networks and systems to identify how performance can be improved
- 13. Supervising the Junior IT in their admin responsibilities and make sure it’s well executed
Job Requirements
Education:
- University graduate with a bachelor’s degree
Relevant Experience :
- Minimum 3 years of experience in similar position
Technical Knowledge/ Skills/ Required Training:
- Problem solving
- Planning skills.
- Time management skills
Computer Skills:
- Excellent computer skills
Language Ability:
- Excellent command of English language & Arabic
