Brief Description
At Kindi, we are bringing together the power of technology and community to make education more accessible to students around the world. We are an early stage tech startup based out of New York City, with operations in the US and Lebanon. To date, we have received grant and venture funding support from the MIT Media Lab, Shuttleworth Foundation and a network of seed-stage impact investors. We are currently running closed betas with a number of pilot partners, with plans for a public release in early 2020.
- As a full stack developer, you will actively participate in the design, development and deployment of our core mobile and web based applications.
- Your skills, creativity and ideas will help shape the products we deploy and the impact we create. You will collaborate with a diverse, multi-national team of engineers and designers, with the added flexibility of remote working.

- We currently use React/React Native, Nodejs + Express, and MySQL, but there are always side projects using various other technologies.
- A willingness to learn and experiment with new tech is very important.
- Strong desire to work for an early stage startup and contribute at a high level
- Proficiency with building modern web applications with React.js + Redux
- Proficiency with server side development using Nodejs/Express.
- Capable of designing and consuming REST APIs
- Having working knowledge of databases
- Familiarity with DRY and SOLID principles
- Knowledge of Git
Bonus Points
- Experience with Next.js
- Experience with React Native
- We are running on AWS: some familiarity there is a bonus
- Experience with Docker/Containerization technology
- Familiarity with TDD
