Job Description
- Maintain a strategic working relationship with all team members and all key departments and stakeholders.
- Be a lead ambassador of MES at all times.
- Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentor ship.
- Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices, and habits.
- Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.
- Capable of understanding and contributing to the technical solution from design through to code level
- Collaborate with other software developers, business analysts and software architects to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain required system modules, front-end, back-end applications built on different technologies.
- Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards.
- Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code.
- Analyze and resolve technical and application problems.
- Design and implement new features for mobile applications for all company products.
- Optimize software to maximize speed and scale, factoring in network latency, device performance and bandwidth constraints.
- Develop test infrastructures, writing documentation and ensuring high performance.
- Translating of UI/UX wireframes and designs to visual elements and components.
- Write new code and maintain and update existing code.
- Building reusable code and libraries for future use.
- Designing and scaling API endpoints.
- Package and support deployment of releases
- Abide by and enforce internal processes and policies
Job Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant experience and the Android SDK.
- Have experience of working on at least 10 Android apps from scratch.
- Should have to understand Android UI concepts and material design guidelines
- Strong experience with Sockets and Push Notifications.
- Strong experience with third-party libraries and API Integrations like Paypal, Branch, MixPanel, Google Analytics
- Strong experience with Google APIs (eg. Location, Map, etc)
- Android Studio.
- Strong experience working with remote data via REST, real-time data and JSON
- Strong experience with mobile databases
- Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Knowledge of iOS is favourable
- Strong experience on the process of deploying apps on the Play Store (AppStore process knowledge is also favourable)
- Ability to write clean code
