Jumia Egypt is urgently hiring Hub Manager

Position: Hub Manager
Department: Operations

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all hub daily operations of receiving, storing, and delivering orders.
  • Responsible for performance monitoring of couriers, hub team, hub security and full responsibility of parcels.
  • Supervising Operations staff, developing their skills, assessing their monthly KPIs



Job Duties:

  • Manages Hub objectives by assigning, scheduling, coaching, and developing employees. Communicating responsibilities; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions. Makes sure the hub team is adhering to company’s policies and procedures.
  • Meets Hub operational standards, implements team productivity and customer-service standards; resolves problems; identifies needed improvements.
  • Manage Hub financial standards by monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.
  • Develops Hub operations systems by determining order handling and storage requirements.
  • Makes sure the hub team is interacting and responding to customer inquiries within SLA.
  • Manages courier schedule on daily basis to ensure all inbounded order are out for delivery.
  • Maintains sorting area by organizing floor space; adheres to storage design principles; recommending improvements.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
  • Secures property by developing protection and access policies and procedures; coordinating patrols with security department.
  • Keeps tools & equipment operational by enforcing operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; requiring preventive maintenance; calling for repairs when needed.
  • Develop staff knowledge and skills by conducting the training plan for the staff quarterly.
