Main responsibilities:
As an HR Specialist, you are responsible for the operational day to day duties within Jumia Services. On a daily basis, you will be assisting HR Manager and employees with HR activities and compliance. Your responsibilities will include, without being limited to:
Responsibilities:
- Admin and compliance:Ensures admin processes are running smoothly
- Ensures admin requests are treated according to agreed SLAs
- Ensures Jumia Services works under established guidelines and controls
- Responsible for receiving all the hiring documents of the new hires.
- Responisble for making the new employees sign their contracts and social forms.
- Responsible for the onboarding/offboarding employees on People HR and their emails as well.
- Work cross functionally with admin, IT and line managers to prepare the seating, email, mobile line and laptop for new employees.
- Responsible for issuing finger prints of the new employees in all warehouses and hubs.
- Assists in the recruitment process and its appointments for temps during the 3 big campaigns.
- Responsible for posting vacancies through ATS/ screening candidates profiles/ make sure that process is going smooth and shooting out job offers from the system.
- Make sure that all employees have received their medical insurance and premium cards.
- Make sure that all employees have opened bank accounts. And followup on the new ones.
- Assist in the preparations of the orientaion\ awarness and training sessions.
- Issue all the JS needed HR Letters within 48 Hours.
- Do visits to hubs and warehouses on monthlyy basis and raise employees issues and requests to the HR.

- Minimum 5 years' experience in HR
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Human Resources or related field is required
- Excellent knowledge of English and Arabic (verbal and written) is required, an additional language is a plus; strong communication skills are critical
- Thorough working knowledge of MS Office, e.g. solid and sound Excel knowledge
