Job Description
- keeping track of important project documents like project plans, blueprints, vendor contracts and drawings.
- creating reports for construction managers as needed.
- keeping documentation safe and backed up. (Copying, scanning and storing)
- performing data entry tasks when project documents need updates. (manuals and workflows)
- Other duties and responsibilities of a document controller include printing out and distributing project documents to managers, vendors and team members.
- converting paper documents to an electronic format.
- keeping files organized by project-Coding.
- Documenting meetings and uploading documents to the web/Online or as software.
- File documents in physical and digital records
- Retrieve files as requested by team and clients
- Manage the flow of documentation within the organization
- Maintain confidentiality around sensitive information and terms of agreement
Job Requirements
This clerical role requires someone with
- Handle handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Interact with the construction project team.
- Proven work experience as a Document Controller or similar role
- Construction field background
- Familiarity with project management
- Basic knowledge of labor and corporate law
- Hands-on experience with MS Office and MS Excel
- Proficient typing and editing skills
- Data organization skills
- Attention to detail
